High Tea Butter, Sambal and Chocolate Cookies














Portion: for 3 adults

Ingredients:
500g self-raising flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
8 spoonful premium sugar
2 tablespoon salt
1/2 slab medium premium butter
Room temperature water
3 spoonful sambal chilli paste
10 whole lime juiced and seeded
1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
1 slab melted chocolate
1 bottle chocolate syrup


What's Special:
Adding lime juice to bake gives the fresh citrus aroma that floods the whole unit and reduces the heaviness of buttery in these cookies. So prepare for an appetizing feast of afternoon high tea.

Method:
1) Knead the flour, baking powder, butter, vanilla essence, lime juice, salt and sugar with water till a smooth dough for rolling is reached.
2)Separate into 3 portions of dough and roll them long.
3)Add sambal chilli paste into one portion, knead till constant colour throughout. Leave all portions to stand in the room for 20 mins.
4)Cut the rolls into bite-sized cubes and leave stand for 15 mins.
5)In pre-heated oven at gas mark 4, bake the cubes arranged on a baking tray for 15mins.
6) Dip one portion of cookies into melted chocolate and syrup mix. Chill for 15mins.
7) Ring the bell to usher the bid eaters for a spread of high tea butter, sambal and chocolate cookies.
